MIRAMAR BOXING TOURNAMENT.
Realising that, the presence of boxers from outside centres adds a decided flavour to the evening's sport, the Miramar Boxing Club has again arranged . for two boys from Palmerston North, to appear at its .tournament in.the Capitol Theatre, Miramar, on Tuesday next. They are Bob Coughlan'and Tommy Holden, Both-fav-ourably known to Wellington boxing enthusiasts, ■ especially the former, who has been one of. the principals in stirring contests with Val Borcovsky, and Harold Thomas at Miramar. Coughlan' will meet Tommy Corbin, whose improvement has been most marked over the past twelve months. Holden is the featherweight champion of Manawatu, and. he will be^, opposed by G. Marshall, of Miramar, an ex-Wellington champion at the weight. Other bouts which should provide plenty of excitement include J. Cannis v. NMiller (welterweights), R. Reed v. J. Murphy (middleweights), W. Parris v. R. Cameron (welterweights), P. MeGee v. J. Meaclem (lightweights), H. Dunn v. S. Donoghue (bantamweights), G. Gollop v. C. Flanagan (welterweights). In all there are eleven bouts on the programme, and patrons are assured of a night's good sport at reasonable prices. " '
