VISITORS ENTERTAINED

A delightful luncheon party was given yesterday at the Dominion Farmers' Institute by the Englishspeaking Union. The guests of honour were Mr. Davia Larson, of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, ■ and Mr. and Mrs. John Brownlee.

The tables were daintily arranged with tall vases of gaillardias and dwarf bowls of anemones. Mrs. Brownlee wore a tailored coat of black cloth with a cream cravat and black sideberet with ivory touches.

The creed of the- English-speaking Union, was read by Mrs. Lavelle, after which Mr. A. L. Hunt introduced the guests and extended a welcome to Miss Beazley (Los Angeles), who was also present.

A bright and hopeful address ,- on present world problems and the future outlook was given by Mr. Larson. Mr. John Brownlee also spoke, endorsing Mr. Larson's remarks.

"I am sure if only we could get together more often and hear the other man's point of view," he said, "there would ~ not be so much difficulty in settling world affairs.'' He and Mrs. Brown Tee ha 3 been particularly impressed with the hospitality of Americans during their visit to the Argentine two years ago.
