The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office as at close of business this week:—'-The market for wether mutton is dull, with a downward tendency. .The^ market for ewes, is. steady. The demand and prices for lambs are improving. There is a good demand for light weights. The market for beef is quiet and unchanged. Ltd., have ,re ceived the following cable from their London agents, dated March 24:—"Compared with last week's quotations Down lamb 28-361b Hd per lb higher;" crossbred, lamb 28-361b, 3-8 d per lb higher; 36-421b, l-8d per lb higher. Second quality lamb 3-8 d per lb higher; best wethers, under 641b l-8d per lb lower. The market for prime and second quality lamb is firm, particularly for light-weights. The market for mutton is quiet, and shows a weakening tendency."
