CARTERTON, This Day. J. he annual meeting of the Wairarapa Golf Club was ield at Featherston on Thursday evening, Mr. J. W. Card presiding. 1 A vote of condolence was passed with the relatives of the late Mr. W. E. Bidmil, who was the club's, president. It was resolved to open the season on Saturday, April 22. It was decided that a cup should be provided by the members, known as the William E. Bidwill Memorial Cup, to be played for on the opening day each year. Mr. J. Came Bidwill was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for the free use of the golf links on his land. Officers were elected as' follows-.—Presi-dent, Mr. J. W. Card; captain, Mr. D. C. Collins, committee, Messrs. A. C. Pearce, H Lawson, W. H. Rowles, G. Fenwick, and K. H. Allen; hon. secretary, Mr. D. C. Collins; hon. treasurer, Mr. N. C C Shepherd; hon. auditor, Mr. H R Bloxam
