VALUE OF DAIRY SHARES.
An auction sale of butter, coal, and timber shares, issued by the New Zealand Co-op. Dairy Co., resulted in shares paid to the value of £464 being sold for £152, or 6s 6d a 'share, states the Auckland "Star" of Bth February. Wnen similar Shares were offered by auction last year they realised 5s a share. Shares issued by the Aria Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, and paid up to £141, were Fold for £7 Is, or Is a share. The shares were offered on behalf of the Official Assignee at Auckland^ and Hamilton. They were sought by dairy company suppliers who have increased their supply and are bound to take up further shares.- • The dairy companies concerned are obliged to transfer the shares to the purchasers and are willing to facilitate the change of ownership.
