MR. JOHN D. RYAN
NEW YORK, February 11.
The death, occurred from, heart disease of Mr. John D. Byan, chairman of the board of the Anaconda 3£inin<»Company. Mr. Kyan was one of the country's leading financiers and industrialists. • ' ■ ■.-.■".
In addition to being chairman of the Anaconda Copper Mining Company, the late Mr. Byan was chairman of the Chile Copper Company, president of the United Metals Selling Company and the Montana Power Company, and director of the National City Bank of New York and the Emigrants' Industrial Savings Bank.
Mr. Eyan was bom in Michigan in 1864. He was in April, 191S, appointed by President Wilson director of aircraft production and later chairman, of the Aircraft Board. Prom August to November of that year he served as Second Assistant Secretary of War and Director of the. Air Service.
