CENTENARY OF BATHURST

WEEK OF CELEBRATION

SYDNEY, February 12.. Bathurst celebrated its centenary yesterday with the inauguration by the Premier of New South Wales, Mr. B. S. Stevens, of a '.'Back-to-Bathurst Week."

A very large gathering was present, despite a ukase by the local Labour League that all Labour men and unionists, boycott the proceedings. Mr. Stevens congratulated the city on the progress made'and the. part the district -was taking in. the rehabilitation of the State's fortunes. He pointed out that unemployment at Bathurst had been reduced by over 50 per cent, in six .months.
