EXCELLENT WORK

ST. JOHN NURSING GUILD

Several interesting reports were considered at a recent meeting of the St. John Nursing Guild. The three nurses stated that a specially busy week had been experienced in preparation for the treat given at Christmas to the needy poor. "With the donations both monetary and in kind given by the friends of the guild (including the Commercial Travellers' Association) an excellent Christmas dinner was taken to no fewer than seventy-five families.

The children were also specially favoured, not only in participating in the dinner but in gifts of toys, sweets, fruit, nuts, biscuits, and even clothing. Tobacco and cigarettes were also given to the menfolk.

The committee and the nurses wish to thank all the generous friend:3 who enabled them to bring so much cheer and comfort into so many liomes at the festive time of year.
