MEETING

(By Telegraph.) ' (Special to "The Evening Post.") CABTEBTON, This Day. ■ At the monthly meeting of the Featherston Countx. Council, at Martinborough, it was decided-to make the usual grants to the Martinborough and Peatherston Libraries. The district engineer advised that the Main Highways Board had approved, of the application for a first coat of sealing to two miles of the Greytown-Bid-will cutting highway. The estimated cos| of the work was- £.800, and the basis of subsidy £.2 for £,1. It was decided to take action in a case of a breach of tho motor regulations reported by the traffic inspector. The ranger for the eastern ridings reported having dealt with 47 head of stock during the month.

It was resolved that 16 chains of road near the aerodrome bo sealed. Mr. V. H. Banisden's tender for the delivery of 400 yards of metal for the Tuhitarata Eoadl was accepted..
