DUXEDIN, This Day. Thomas Poison, aged 4S, was found guilty in the Supreme Court today of causing actual bodily harm to a young woman, and was sentenced to five years' imprisonment. The accused entered tho woman's bedroom and struck her with a hammer, her skull being fractured. The jury at the trial added a ; rider that the accused had been suffering from the effects of drugs when the crime was committed, and that subsequently, in the Lower Court, Poison, who was removed to hospital with his throat cut after the attack on the woman, was convicted and discharged on a charge of attempted suicide.
