U.S.A. TEAM AT AUCKLAND

I ■ The weather was fine, after overnight and early morning tain, for the second tennis Test match against the U.S.A. team. Play commenced-, at 1 o'clock before a large crowd, which overflowed all except the reserved stands.' , ■

The, teams, in order of merit, are:—

United States.—H. Ellsworth Vines, Wilmer E. Allison (captain), John Van Eyn, Keith Gledhill. New Zealand.—o. E. Malfroy (Wellington), 0. Angas (Canterbury) j,A. 0. Stedman (Auckland), D, G. France (Wellington). '

E. L. Bartleet (Auckland), reserve for the Dominion side, has. been, appointed captain. ■

The order of play will be:—Franco v. Gledhill, Stedman v. Van Eyn, Malfroy V; Viites, Angas v. Allison. Malfroy ana France (New Zealand champions, 1929) v. Vine? and Gledhill. Angas and Stedman vT Allison and Van Eyn.

E. D. Andrews, 1926 and 1932 New Zealand champion, who was first player for the Dominion in. the first Test at Miramar, was not available for the Auckland match.
