There was plenty of support for Sweet Lap- in the Hinuera Handicap at Mata-1 mata last Saturday, and although she failed to run into the moiey she was finishing on in fourth place, after'being well back during the5 early stages of. the contest. This • half-sister to that good - performer Lord Val appeared to 'go ,a bit short in her preliminary, and the race should work improvement in her. She is built on bigger lines than her relative, and more is likely to be heard of her before the present [season,ends. .* . - _ .
