PASSING OVER SARDINIA
(British Official Wireless.) (Beeeived 7th February, Ip.m.) . BUGBY, 6th February. Throughout the day periodical .wireless reports have been received at the Air Ministry, London, from SquadronLeader Gayford and Flight-Lieutenant Nicholetts. The Fairey Napier machine weighs seven and a hal/ tons fully loaded, and carries 1000 gallons of petrol. Special tires had to be designed to carry the great weight. It is equipped with ] automatic control, and has numerous novel features in its design. . At 5.40 G.M.T. the machine had travelled 1000 miles and was then passing over the southern end of Sardinia.
