TROPHIES PRESENTED
Few events remain to be decided in tho Wellington Croquet Association 's tournament, which was continued to-day; and if is expected that the tournament will conclude to-morrow. Yesterday, the Izard Commemoration. Cup for the winners of the championship doubles was presented to Captain and Mrs. Hartnell by the president of the "Wellington Association, Mrs. W. S. Austin, Captain'Hartnell was also the winner of the A grade handicap singles trophy, tho McDowell Memorial Kose Bowl. Captain Hartnell thanked all those participating in the tournament for tho assistance they had given him and' Mrs.' Hartnell, and eulogised the work of Mrs. 8.. McKenzie, who had conducted- the tournament so success-: fully. Further results, aie as follows:— POST, ENTRY. -• Mesdames Billing and Woodley (10J) beat Mesdames Sleightholme and Morton (13*), 26-21; Mesdames Billing and Woodley beat Mesdames Robertson and Ilsley, 26-20; Mesdames Small and Adams (13J) beat Mesdames Palmer and Neilsen (11* ), 26-25; Mesdames Balling and Woodley beat Mrs. Bodford and Miss Bates, 26-19; Mesdames Woodham' and McDonald beat Mesdames Small and Adams 7 WOMEN'S ASSOCIATE SINGLES. Mrs. Caldow-beat Mrs. Walker, 26----21. CLUB PAIRS. Semi-final: Mesdames Walker and Taylor beat Mesdames Palmer and Pritchard, 26-21.
