OKARITO WASH-UP

(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening; Post.'*) DUNEDIN, This Day. The report of the Okarito Gold Dredging Company for the four weeks ending 31st December, states that, the total gold won was 106oz 4dwt. The total time worked was 334 hours, and the total non-working time was 50 hours. The dredge closed •down for the holidays on 22nd December. The total yardage treaded' was 22,000 (an average of 66% cubic yards per hour). The average value of the ground (on the basit of gold worth £4 per ounce) was 7d per cubic yard.

Other returns received are as follows: — Mahakipawa, wash-up for the week ended 14th. December yielded 15oz. King Solomon -wash-up was lOloz 2dwt for eight days' work.
