TRINITY METHODIST CHURCH

The quarterly meeting of TrinityMethodist Church recorded its sympathy with Mrs. Reid and family in the death of Mr. A. Reid,,one of. the stalwarts of the church. The quarterly balance-sheet was presented by Mr. W. Binet Brown. It showed that the 'debt. of £164 had/been reduced to £90, besides the church-pay-ing its way during the' quarter. The meeting was unanimous'in its: support of a money-box effort being; made during 1933.instead of . the usual bazaar. Messrs. C.-E. , Feltham and.W. Binet Brown were re-elected circuit stewards. Mr. G. Roberts was appointed' the circuit's representative to accompany the minister /arid Mr. S. T. ,S.- Martin to the annual conference, in Auckland next months Messrs. J., A. Martin and Cl ■&. Green, and another-to be appointed, were elected a missionsl committee. It was reported that foreign 'mission returns totalled £51, plus £21 raised by 'the ladies' auxiliary; and home mission -returns amounted to £32: Authority'was given to take up a collection on; behalf of the Young People's Board; arid it was agreed to hold a meeting of ,y6uth; .workers, early in, February. Consent was given to the minister's scheme ,6f work for the': winter months. Messrs. _H. W.. Smith and Ferguson were elected members o£ the district .executive -for the ensuing year.
