DISPLAY BY MASSED BANDS
The efforts on behalf of the Associated Bands Fund should receive a fillip to-m'or. row (Sunday)', when' various bands will take part in a; demonstration of band music and marching. The Young Australia • League ' members' have generously expressed a wishto-do "something, to assist in- an effort ;to raise .funds, despite the strenuous tour ia ,front. of :these .young artists.: ,The; display ,- will be given at the Basin Reserve,,commencing at 3 p.m., when the Young Australia League, boys will demonstrate ,their ability in 'marching and band music/ The Port Nicholson Band, which has been"practising very hard for the. national' band contest^ will' give a full rehearsal"of the 'ever-popular' quickstep. ■ Other; bartds taking' part are' the Artillery, Boys' Institute, -and' Caledonian Pipe Band. Half, the - proceeds. will be handed to the Mayor,'s-Relief .Fund, and half to the Associated Bands Fund.
