The. parcel was 322 ounces> and the gold, amongst which were several big pieces, is of a particularly bright nature. Messrs. Ritchie and Bell and Hooper Bros., on the Kawarau, washed 52 ounces for three days' work. Messrs. Bell and Kilgouf also have over 50 ounces for a week's work.
