Offers to buy butter for December-Janu-ary . shipment at gi^d and 9 5-16 d have been made to factory directors,'' and a little business has been done at those prices, but the- quantity so disposed of has been infinitesimal. Low as these prices are -factories feel disposed to take the risks of the market themselves. Some cheese factories have offered to sell at 6d for make up to the end of December, but have been unable to find buyers, as business is, reported to have been transacted as Was on the basis of 5%d for Janu-ary-February delivery.
