PATEA AFFRAY
ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE
REMAND GRANTED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGAJvTO, 22nd November. Alexander Myles appeared before Mr. J. 11. Salmon, S.M., at the Wanganui Magistrate's Court yesterday charged with attempting to murder James Carradus, at Patea, on 20th October. On the application of the police he was remanded to appear at Patea on 10th December. Detective J. Walsh, who appeared for the police, said that Carradus wrfs still in hospital as the result of the injury he had received, but it was anticipated that he would be well enough to give evidence on the date set in the remand, when the police would proceed
