SATURDAY'S FIXTURES
QUARTERLY REPORT
The AYellington Lawn Tennis Association management committee held a meeting last night. Mr. C. G. Swinburne presided. Permission was granted to the jHutt Valley Lawn Tennis Sub-association to hold a doubles tournament—postponed ;from Labour Day owing to inclement weather —in conjunction with a . singles tournament, during^ Easter. It was decided that all members who have not paid their annual subscriptions one month after 25th November shall be suspended from playing rights. The meeting decided not to support a notice of motion to be moved by Mr. E. C. Wearne at the quarterly meeting of the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association next Friday, to the effect that clauses 29 and 30 of the constitution be deleted. A further notice of motion that ordinary members' subscription fees be reduced by las resulted in a recommendation being made that the reduction be 10s. The recommended annual subscription for ordin-ary-members is £3 5s for men and £2 15s for ladies. The chairman expressed the opinion that the reduction should operate for one year only, and that the matter should be discussed annually. > In regard to last Saturday's unfinished matches, ■it was decided that the games shall be finalised on Saturday week after the ordinary club matches have been completed. COMMITTEE'S REPORT. The managemen'yAommittee,'s quarterly report states that arrangements have been made to hold the New Zealand championships in Wellington, commencing on 17th January. A sum of £100 has been advanced by the' N.Z.L.T.A. for improvements to the dressing sheds, and the erection of public conveniences for the fixture. The Wellington championships will commence on 26th December. Record entries are reported for interclub matches. Grades have been divided into Ist, 2nd, 3rd, .4th, sth, and 6th divisions, the first three divisions being subdivided into men's and women's sections. The court hire has been reduced to 2s per court per hour for hard courts and second grade grass courts, and to 3s for firstgrade grass courts. Four additional courts have been leased to the Miramar Tennis Club. Mr. T. S. Williams has been .appointedofficial coach for the 1932-33 season. SATURDAY'S FIXTURES. Second Division. —Men: Technical'v.'University; Thorndon v. Newtown; Welling ton and Seatoun; Lyall Bay, a bye. Third Division.—Ladies: Newtown -c Lyall'Bay; .Technical, a bye. Fourth Division, A.—Wadestown v. Roseneath; Seatoun v. Hataitai; University v. Te Rama; Miramar A v. L3Tall Bay. Fifth Division. —Broadway v. Maramri; Technical v. Miramar; Trinity v. Talavera; Rintoul Street v. Rawhiti.
