The Karori West School Committee, at a meeting last week, passed a resolution, protesting againtet the prohibition of euchre parties for. the purpose of raising funds for the benefit of school children, and expressing the hope that Parliament and the Government will use their best endeavours to put Mr. E. McXeen's Bill through as soon as possible, as owing to the reduced education grants the position is very acute.
The man who appeared naked in. Willis street last week and "was arrested on a charge of obscene exposure, came before Mr. E. Page, S.JI., again at the Magistrate's Court to-day. Sub-Inspector Martin said that a doctor's certificate had been received, and in view of this it was thought advisable that'the police should take other step's. He. would therefore ask for a further remand until to-morrow. The Magistrate granted the remand.
