MORE OPPOSITION

BRITISH MANUFACTURERS

A resolution of protest was passed yesterday at a meeting of the council of the United Kingdom Manufacturers and New Zealand Representatives' Association. The text. of the resolution was as follows:—■

"This meeting strongly protests against any increase in exchange rates, and is of opinion that even the present rate is not justified, on account of the accumulated funds in London, and, further, any increases as suggested would be entirely opposed to the letter and spirit of the Ottawa agreement.''
