FAREWELL TO MR. PAGE

A meeting of about thirty Wellington musicians and citizens was held last evening under the chairmanship of Mr. Ernest Dawspn to consider plans for the farewell concert to be tendered to the retiring City Organist, Mr. Bernard F. Page, next month. Those present agreed to act as a. general committee, and the following were appointed the .executive committee:—Messrs Dawson (chairman), E. Darroeh, Hr' Fisher, D. A. Ewen, E. Jenncr, Leon do Mauny, Dr. Alex. Roberston, ana Mr. L. D. Webster (secretary). It was agreed that facilities should be given the public-to express preferences for the organ items and to enlist the services of all the musical societies in Wellington. Requests for organ items .may, be sent to Mr, Ernest Dawson.
