FATAL COLLISION
NEGLIGENCE CHARGE FAILS

• • . HAMILTON, This Day. After a brief retirement the jury found Charles.. O'Brien, commission agent, of Hamilton, not guilty on a charge of negligently driving his car and of causing the death of Robert William Money, aged 72 years, at Hamilton East on 3pth August.The case was a sequel to a fatal collision between tho accused's car and a small car, driven by Moneys daughter, in which her father and mother were passengers.
Sonns years ago a commencement was made in the compilation of a municipal history of Wellington, but it has not been possible for the work to lie carried to. completion. A suggestion has now boon made that Mr. L. Waad should complete the history. The proposal was briefly discussed at last night's meeting of the"City Council, and was finally referred to a committee consisting of the Mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, and Councillors W. J. Gaudin and H. A. Huggins for further consideration.
