At the hearing to-day of his claim againßt ?'Smith's Weekly" for £20,000 damages for alleged libel, Mr. Norman ("Wizard") Smith was further crossexamined concerning his ten-milo record on Ninety Mile Beach,, New Zealand, and tho method of chocking the speeds on his car. Evidence taken on commission in New Zealand in support of plaintiff's case, relating chiefly to the condition of tho beach when Mr. Smith was there, was read. " The hearing was adjourned.
