LATE MR. C. H. F. MACPHERSON

There was a large attendance at the funeral sorvice of the late Mr. Charles H. P. jtfaepherson, inspector of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, which took place at St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral this morning. _The service was conducted by. the vicar, Canon James, who also officiated at the committal service at Ka-rori. The chief mourner was Mr. 8. Oliver, brother-in-law. The pall-bearers were Messrs. F. G. Johansen, A. F. Turnbull, H. Hitching, and A. W...North, members of tho Loan and Mercantile Company's staff, ~who had been associated with Mr. Macphersbn fpir many years. Among those present were Sir Charles Statham, Speaker of the House of Eepresentatives, who- was in his youncr days a fellow chorister with Mr. Ma<?pherson at Christchiireh Cathedral, Messrs. W. T.
