WATROA FARMERS' NEED

MONEY FOR REHABILITA-

TION

WAIROA, 14th October.

At the monthly meeting of the Wairoa branch of the Farmers' Union the following resolution was carried unanimously :—

"This branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union desires to impress on the attention of the Government that unless a national appeal is taken up more seriously than is at present it will be absolutely necessary for the Government to substantially assist .farmers in the stricken area of Wairoa to rehabilitate this devastated district."

A copy of the resolution is to be1 forwarded to the Dominion executive of the Farmers' Union soliciting its support.
