PETONE CLUB
A large and representative gathering of bowlers and their friends attended the opening of the Petone Bowling Club's green this afternoon.
The season was declared* open by the president • (Mr. H. Appleyard), and Miss Appleyavd sent up the first kitty and bowl.
Afternoon tea was served by the ladies in the pavilion, which was tastefully decorated in the club's colours of green, red, and black.
