MR- W. H. LEDBROOK

, Mr. William-Henry Ledbrook, an old identity of Lower Hutt, died at the Wellington Hospital last night at the age of 77 years.. He had tho,misfortune to have his right leg amputated a month ago, and he. did not recover from the effects of the operation. Mr. Ledbroolt was born <in Surrey, England, in 1885, and cam© out to. New Zealand in 1872, •taking up his residence at Lower Hutt, where ho remained ever since except for one trip Home in 1886. For many years he was in business as an insurance agent, but for the past .fifteen years he was a landscape gardener. At one time he was employed at McNab's Gardens, where the Bellevue Hotel now stands. Mrs. Ledbrook died about thirty-eight yearn ago. .There are four sons—Messrs. A. W. Leabrook, of the Central Fire Station; 3?. 0. Ledbrook, of' the National Chemical Co., Ltd:, Wellington; C. F. Ledbrook, of the Railway Workshops, Otahuhu; and P. Ledbrook, who is living in. England— and three daughters—Mrs. J. Hailwood (Petone), and two others now at Home. The funeral will take place at the Karori Cemetery on Monday. '
