POST OFFICE ALTERATIONS
In order to the uandling of mails, alterations are being made at the General Post Office by the construction of a new dottk1. which will enable incoming mail mutter <,o be taken straight into the buiLdihg from Post Office square. In this way a great deal of the congestion in l?anarna street resulting from both incoming and outgoing mails being handled at one approach will be relieved.
rThe old Cour) ;cnay place post office is being moderniised by the conversion of the ground flo or into two up-to-date shops, with office quarters above, and by the improvement of the appearance of the building ass a whole.
