ITALIAN ASSAULTED
HELD UP BY THIEVES

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
Umberto Colonno, an Italian well known here as leader of an anti-Fas-cisti group, was held up and assaulted by two men as he was entering his home early this morning.
Apparently the men were thieves after money. They made off when Colonno roused the neighbours. Colonno, who is a restaurant proprietor, waa not seriously hurt.
