The "Wilson's Portland Cement and the Milburn and Golden Bay Cement Companies have each donated thirteen tons of cement for the purposes of beautifying the Marine parade. The scheme provides for a large area for skating, dancing, and a pond with an open-air theatre accommodating 2500 people.
