INDIAN CRICKET TEAM
TO TOUR ENGLAND
NAWAB OF PATAUDFS
DECISION
CALCUTTA, 4th February.
The Nawab of Pataudi, one of the leading batsmen, in England last season, has Tefusea to join the Indian team to tour England. It is believed that this is because he was overlooked both as vice-captain and as deputycaptain.
The anomaly of the position is that the Nawab will go to England this season to play for Worcester, and presumably, if he catches the eye of the English selectors as he did last year, he may become a member of the team to tour Australia. The Indian team will be composed of 18 players.
