N.S.W. DEFAULT

NO ARTICULATE PROTEST

4th February. A curious feature of the New South "Wales default is the absence of 'any articulate protest on behalf of the bondholders who did not receive their interest on Monday. There have been no letters in the Press, or questions in Parliament, or complaining callers at Australia House. Presumably the bondholders have taken their grievances to their bankers and brokers, because there has been no lack of adverse private comment.
