, OTTAWA, sth February. The opini6n in Government circles is that tho British tariff will materially assist Canada. "If the 10 per cent, duty is levied by Great Britain on the wide range of article indicated, with the Dominions exempt, it should bo of great assistance to Canada and will form an excellent basis for the consultations at the approaching Imperial Economic Conference," said the Minister for Trade and Commerce, Mr. H. H. Stevens.
