SEA RULER'S PROSPECTS

The two-year-old Sea Ruler, by Chief Ruler from Seagull, has failed to win in five 'staVts thia season, but has performed creditably at each appearance, and in his last . two runs has been. second, having filled that position behind Gay Marigold at Te Rapa and also to Miss Lorraine at Te Awamutu. When he finished second to Miss Lorraine he was meeting the same class field under -the same conditions as that in the Putaruru- Stakes at Matamata to-morrow. The- only difference will be that to-morrow's race will be a furlong shorter than the AVaipa Stakes, but that should! not be' a hindrance to Sea Ruler, whose prospects of success appear bright.
