OFFERED TO MR. MELLON
ACCEPTANCE UNDECIDED

WASHINGTON, 3rd February.
The Preside , ; 'Mr. Hoover, on Wednesday asked the Secretary of the Treasury (Mr. A. W. Mellon) if he will accept the Ambassadorship to Great Britain. .
Mr. Mellon confirmed tho report that Mr. Hoover offered him the Ambassadorship, but said he was not yet able to decide whether ho will accept tho post.
The Ambassadorship was vacated by General Dawes on his appointment as head of President Hoover's reconstruction corporation.
