WEDDING
The wedding was celebrated.yesterday afternoon at • St. Mary's Church, Levin, of Anne Alison, youngest daughter of Mrs., and the late Mr. John Kebbellj "Nauinai," Levin, and Major Lewin Graham Mackworth Taverner, M.C. (Eoyal Field Artillery), eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Taverner, "Ellangowan," Greatford. The ceremony was performed by the Key. J. C. Bavies. Flame red dahlias were charmingly used in the decoration of the church, and a guard of honour was formed by the Lovin Company of Girl Guides (the brides company). She holds the rank of District Commissioner of Horowhenua. The bride's frock of parchment satin was made with a. deep V neckline, and the long graceful skirt flared from a moulded hip yoke. A train of Hcmiton lace (lent by Miss Webster, Dunedin, an aunt of the bridegroom), was attached to the shoulders, and was covered with" a veil of old lace belonging to the bridegroom's mother. A circlet of orange blossom buds was worn on the head, and she carried a sheaf of cream and apricot gladioli. Two bridesmaids, Misses Betty Crook, Marton (chief), and Mary Kiikcaldie (niece of the bride), and a small flower girl, Joan Moore (niace of the bridegroom), attended the bride. The chief bridesmaid wore a long flared frock of georgette shaded from--deep, to-palest leaf green. The other maid wore a similar frock in pale green. Both were finished with shoulder capes, and they wore caps of gold net with green velvety flowers. ■ They carried sheafs of apricot and flame gladioli. The flower girl was in a long frock of parchment frilled organdi trimmed with narrow green velvet ribbon. She carried a posy of flame and apricot flowers, and wore a gold net headdress with small green flowers. Mr. Douglas Taverner was best man and Mr. Quinton Wilson (Bulls), groomsman. Over two hundred guests were entertained at "Naumai," where a large marquee was erected. Mrs. Kebbell wore a frock of black lace and" georgette with a lace coatee and a black hat. She carried a posy of-lavender flowers. Mrs. Taverner (mother of the bridegroom) wore a figured crepe de chine ensemble with a black hat, and carried a posy of aut-umn-tinted flowers. Miss Kebbell (sister of the, bride) was in an ensemble of figured green georgette with, a green hat, and she carried a posy of pink flowers. . Mrs. Norman Kirkcaldie (sister of the bride) was wearing a patterned black crepe de chine ensemble, with a black hat and bouquet of red roses. Mrs. Lance Moore . (Lower Hutt), sister of the'bridegroom, wore a floral ninon frock and short coat with black hat and a posy to tone. Mrs. S. Chaffey. (Christehureh), sister of the bricltegro'om, wore a brown figured marocain frock and hat to tone. She carried a posy of pink and beige roses. The bride's travelling frock was of brown figured marocain, worn with a tailored coat of wool marocain and a brown hat.
