It is anticipated that he will take up his duties there next month. In the meantime applications have been called for the position of a temporary assistant teacher at the Masterton Technical School, ana it is understood that Mr, O H E sates will be acting-principal. . The news of nis impending departure will, be received with regret, as during his stay in Masterton he has given ample proof of ■his ability, as a teacher and a director of technical education. He was formerly Principal of the Napier Technical School, and was transferred to Masterton early last year to succeed Mr. P. W Martin, who was appointed Principal of the Otahuhu Junior High School.
