Mr. Willis told the Australian .Press Association that the request obviously implied a. satisfactory settlement at the end of a year's moratorium, but negotiations were now only, in the preliminary stage. . Mr. Willis says he has information inclining him strongly to the belief that Mr. Lyons would be well advised even at this late hour to take a wider Australian outlook to find a way out•of the difficulties.
