MR. ROUNTHWAITE'S FUNERAL
The funeral of the late:-Mr. E. S. Bouhthwaite, formerly City Engineer ot Wellington, took place' at Karori tins-- morning with a large attendance ot old members of Mr. Koiratkwaite's profession, ancl of those able to at*f nS fi' Oni the Presont C^y Council stuff, -lour sons were-the pall-bearers. 1 lie graveside service was conducted by the Rev. E. J. Orange, of Island Bay. Amongst those in the cortege wero-Messrs. F. \V. Furkert, Chief Eagmccr of the Public Works Department, J. Marchbanks, general manager and engineer of the Harbour Board, I. T. M. Kissel, Chief Engineer of the Hydro-Electric Department, IT. W. MaaLoan, formerly Chief Engineer of the Railways, D. K. Blair, president of the Now Zealand Society of Civil Engineers, H. L. Cole, secretary of the society, A. J. Baker, a. member of the council of the society, W. J. Boehe. past member of the society's council, «T. R. Palmer, ex-Town Clerk, G. A. Hart, City Engineer, M. Cable, General Manager of the Tramways and Electric Lighting' Department, M. J. Casey, City Engineer's Department, and C, G. 8. Swinburne. ' . j
