BOYS CAMP
STILL SOME VACANCIES
Thero are still several vacancies in the V.M.C.A. boys' agricultural-train-ing camp at Penrosc, near Masterton. A small party of boys left Wellington this morning to join tho camp. The camp programme is proceeding without untoward incident (excepting that during the week-end gale several tents were blown, down) and the boys seem very appreciative of what is being done on their behalf. On Sunday morning all the boys attended Divine service, while a Bible class held in tho afternoon was attended by 25 boys. In tho evening the boys attended church parade according to their respective denominations. The schedule of lectures on agricultural subjocts was commenced yesterday by two officials of the Department of Agriculture, who instructed tho boys on various aspects of soil. The boys also engaged in ploughing, harvesting and milking. The Minister of Health, Hon. J. A. Young, will officially open tho camp tomorrow at 11.45 a.m. Visitors attending by the morning train from Wellington should alight at Waiugawa, where a bus will meet the train to convey them to the camp. The camp committee (a Y.M.O.A.Kotary Club organisation) is still in need of funds, while those who can help with gifts of cake and jam are asked to do so. The following donations are gratefully acknowledged:—Amount previously acknowledged, £190 Is Gd; E. J. Davies, £2; W.A.T., £1; total £193 Is 6d. The Pepsodent Co.
