LEADERS SENTENCED
TERMS OF IMPRISONMENT
(Iteeeived sth January, 11 a.m.) CALCUTTA, 4th January. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, secretary of the Congress, has been sentenced to two years' hard labour and a fine of £37, in default a further three months in gaol, at Allahabad for disobeying a Government order not to leave the municipal limits. T. Sherwani, the United Provinces Congress Leader, has been sentenced to six months.' imprisonment and a fine of^ £11, in default three months' imprisonment, for a similar offence.
