CONVOY NOT DESTROYED
The earlier report that Red Heckle's three-year-old brother, Convoy, was destroyed following a mishap while gallopin« at Kiccarton just before the holidays was somewhat premature, as the hdrse is "Hilt very much alive. .Veterinary opinion was that there was •till a chance for Convoy, and the fractured joint was put in plaster of Pans. He already shows improvement, as he is able to bear some Weight on the injured leg, but whether he will ever be fit to tram ag»m is a point that only time can ten, and hi«-trainer/-Pr Christmas, is by no means sanguine, though he hopes for the best.
