SYDXKY, 4th January. The wool sales were resumed to-day, when 9927 bales were offered, and S6S2 sold at auction; also 712 wore disposed of privately. • The market was very firm at the December closing rates. ■There wag good general competition, all elections of the- trade operating, with, an increased cjemand on Japanese account. Skirtings were in very keen, request. Greasy Merino made up to 13?4d per lb.
