LONDON, Ist January. Alain Gerbault, the French' lone yachtsman and. tennis player, when sailing with friends on his yacht from Marseilles to Cannes, met with heavy seas and his craft was disabled. He and his passengers were saved by coastguards, but the yacht was lost. Gerbault sails early in the New Year for tho South Seas on his own new yacht.
