The British Golf Union has had its attention directed by the Golfing Union of Ireland to tha presentation of gifts to amateur golfers by non-golfing associations for sucli feats as doing v hole in one. It has adopted the Irish recommendation disaproving 'of "the presentation of gifta by non-golfing organisations for golfing performances, and instructing all affiliated cluba not to co-operate or assist in such ■chemes."
