(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAWERA, This Day. The first innings scores in a cricket match which commenced at TTawcra yesterday between the Victoria. College touring team and a South Taranaki eleven gave the home team, which made 157 (Betts r?0), ii slender lead of four runs, the visitors making 153 (Bailey 3G, Osbourne 23. Wilson 22, M'Carthy 20). Bowling for Victoria College, Osbourne took four wickets for 59 runs, Bailey two for 17, Dormer two for 17. Bowling for South Taranaki, Herbert took three wickets for 29 runs, Perry three for 31. At luncheon to-day the South Taranaki team in its second strike had scored 149 for three wickets.
