(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) . GISBORNE, 30th December. Doneghue's Wellington cricket team completed its match against Poverty Bay to-day, being defeated by. 10 wickets. Wellington made 124 (Ward 46, Lawton 29; James, four wickets for 19, J. C. Dow three for 48), and 127 (Parsloe 25, Lawton 23; G. J. Robertson four for 36). Poverty Bay replied with 229 (Lockett 61, Turbitt 57, Boon 36, P. Dow 32; Ward, four for 61, Parsloe three for 65), and 24 for no wickets. A further match will be played during the next two days, and the team will return home on Saturday.
